I am a globally recognized visionary scientist whose ground-breaking work has uncovered significant mirror-viewing distress that can occur in body disfigurement due to trauma, surgery, or illness. Broadly disseminating phenomenological research findings and developing a mid-range nursing theory highlights the impact of inexpensive, holistic nursing supportive mirror-viewing interventions in the immediate aftermath of visible disfigurement. I am a proficient leader who led a year-long task force to determine holistic nursing research priorities for 2023-2026. I was a home health nursing director who pioneered three expert homecare clinical teams: cardiac, palliative, and poor eyesight (low vision). I opened an outpatient and inpatient hospice. In the community, I established a parish nursing ministry and was a founding member of a non-profit organization for women with disabilities.
